EDITORIAL NO 005 | 2021

A decent flow of orders continued this week in Asia with a series of individual contracts each worth over a hundred million dollars reported. China landed deals for a large series of dry cargo freighters from Europe while a major bulk carrier order was also reported. Japanese yards are set to win big container ship contracts but must share the orders with other yards in China and South Korea. South Korea also landed substantial contracts including LPG carriers, product carriers, tankers and offshore installations. A busy naval sector included projects from Greece, the Philippines and Sweden.
