Orders won by Chinese yards this week included a tanker with dual-fuel propulsion and bulk carriers. Japan landed an unusual contract for refrigerated cargo vessels and Taiwan won a product carrier deal. In the naval sector, a European country is in talks about a submarine contract. A US$156.1 million deal for naval towage and rescue vessels was placed in the United States along with a naval design contract.
