EDITORIAL NO 024 | 2023

It was another week of big gas tanker contracts. South Korea received an order for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier worth USD 518.2 million from North America. China received orders worth around USD 123 million for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tankers. Chinese shipyards also received orders for the construction of dual-fuel feeder container ships and are in discussions with a European customer for the construction of 8,000 TEU dual-fuel container ships. Japan also received an order for a boxship worth USD 144.8 million, while Turkey received an order for feeder container ships for voyages in Europe.
