Chinese yards became more active this week, winning orders from Europe for container feeder ships and specialist freighters. South Korean orders remained depressed. The ferry sector was active with orders in the United States, Canada and Australia. The British Government indicated it may bow to pressure and stop a controversial international tender to build naval supply vessels.
