EDITORIAL NO 002 | 2023

A series of container ship orders have been placed this week. China won deals from Asia for 8,000-TEU vessels and Japan won orders for 5,920-TEU ships. Both China and Japan also lended orders for bulk carriers. An Indonesian shipping company said it has placed an order for two new feeder container vessels of 1,900 TEU. Yards are being sought by a European county to build survey and research ships. Ferries with zero-emission capability were ordered for Italy.
